We started our day early, with everyone getting ready to go. The boys went outside with me for a few minutes and we snapped this sweet picture.
Sunglasses on and ready to go!!
When we came into the park, we snapped some pictures in front of the castle and then headed straight back for Enchanted Tales with Belle. We wanted to do this one first so that we wouldn't have to wait in a long line.
Lucy got picked to play the part of Maurice so she got to show off her acting skills with Belle!
After Belle, we jumped onto the Prince Charming Carousel and then we headed over to use our first fast pass at Peter Pan's Flight. After Peter Pan, we walked across so that we could ride "Small World." Charlie couldn't wait to ride this ride!
Here's Charlie singing at the very end.. . . he loves the song!!
Our next stop was Ariel's Under the Sea ride. Everyone enjoyed riding under the water!!
After we rode under the sea, we had our next fast pass to go and meet Ariel. The kids were really excited to get to see her. (Again, I don't have the good Memory Maker pictures downloaded yet, so you're stuck with the ones from my camera!)
After Ariel, it was time for lunch. Mike, Michael, and Joe went off for a boys lunch and then everyone else headed to "Be Our Guest Restaurant."
By this time, we were all a little grumpy from being hot and hungry. Everyone was ready to sit and eat lunch!
We ordered and sat down. Gramma and the Hout girls got their food quickly, but the rest of us waited and waited. Finally, I tracked down someone to find out where our food was. They never could find the girl that was in charge of taking care of our area, but someone was able to go back in the kitchen and bring out our meal. Since it took so long, they also gave us two 6 person fast passes to anything at any of the four parks. It was frustrating having to wait so long, but once we finally got food, everyone's spirits seemed a little better. (And we will put those free fast passes to good use!)
All smiles after some food and air conditioning!!
Winnie the Pooh was the next ride. The boys rode with Gramma in the honey pot all through the hundred-acre woods. Everyone's favorite part was bouncing like Tigger.
No trip would be complete with a ride on the Teacups!!! (My favorite ride in the whole world!!!) The kids wanted to see how fast we can spin, so of course, we went as fast as we could possibly make it go!!
Then it was time to ride the ride that Alex had been waiting for months to ride - the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!! I was so excited to get to ride next to him because as much as I was looking forward to the ride, I wanted to be able to see his expressions!
He laughed and cheered as we rode and then when we got into the cave and the dwarfs began to sing, "Hi Ho,"Alex joined in as loud as he could! As soon as we got finished, he asked if we could go again. Sadly, we didn't have a fast pass for a second ride and I was not going to wait in a 90 minute line to ride it again.
Mickey's Philharmagic was next. It's always nice to be able to sit down for a little bit!! The kids had fun playing with the glasses but they had trouble keeping them on their face during the show.
The Fairy Godmother was out signing autographs when we left the Philharmagic. Alex was the one who really wanted to stop and get her autograph, but I think they all enjoyed seeing her.
Next was Dumbo! The playground area inside was fun and let the adults sit down while the kids had a little free running time. Then onto the ride! The boys had fun and only fought a little bit over who's turn it was to make Dumbo go up and down.
At lunch, everyone had a cupcake or pastry dessert but there weren't any dessert options for two little boys who had milk allergies. I promised them that we would find a dessert somewhere in the park for them. Wouldn't you know, out of all the amazing food that Disney World has to offer, that these little boys would choose the cotton candy at the stand next to Dumbo?!! But that's what they wanted!!
We went over to ride the People Mover after that to give everyone a little sit down break. I snapped this picture while we were waiting on everyone to take a bathroom break. . . you wouldn't know it from looking from this adorable little face, but Alex had been throwing little temper tantrums all day whenever he didn't get his way. As much fun as we had been having, we still had a lot of whining and pouting. Of course, when you've got 5 kids ages 7, 4, 4, 4, and 2, I guess that's to be expected! Still, just look at this face. . . he knows he's cute!!
Next, we had a fast pass to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride. However, when we got over to it, it was closed for technical difficulties. Since it wasn't working, that meant that we could use our fast pass for any ride in the park . . .except for Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan. The big kids were dying to ride Space Mountain and so this provided the perfect opportunity. Mike, Lauren, Joe and Michael went to ride the roller coaster (pictures on the Memory Maker . .. .you'll see them later!) and then Teresa and I took the kids to meet Princesses. Lucy and Harper really wanted to meet Cinderella, but Alex was determined to get to see his favorite princess of all - Tiana! So I took the boys on one side to meet Rapunzel and Tiana and Teresa took the girls over to see Cinderella and the new princess, Eleana of Avalor.
I have pictures with the boys and princessess. . . . you'll have to wait on the ones of the girls though!
We set up another fast pass after we saw the princesses for Buzz Lightyear again. This way, if it was working, we would get to ride and if it wasn't working, we could go choose another ride. Fortunately, the Buzz ride was back up and running so we got to ride. . . .again, pictures are on memory maker.
We got another fast pass. . . this time for the Tomorrowland Speedway. Charlie had been begging all day to ride, but it had a long line every time we went by. We stopped and sat and ate a dinner of snack kind of food - some chicken and fries - and then just rested for a bit since we had been going all day. We decided to ride the People Mover one more time before we headed over to the Speedway.
We drove the cars - I drove with Charlie, who took the steering wheel and tried to turn it all crazy so all we did was bump back and forth on the track. I finally had to "help" (drive for him!) so that we didn't get whiplash!!
We had done about all we could do, so we went and found a spot to watch the fireworks. We found a good spot on the bridge where we could see the castle, but we weren't smushed in with the huge crowds of people in front of the castle.
There was also a camera man who happened to set up in front of us to take pictures and so we got some good ones. . . all on Memory Maker of course!
The kids loved watching the fireworks - Charlie said that it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen!
After it was over, it was time to fight the crowds to get out. The line for the monorail was ridiculously long so we headed over to the ferry boat. It didn't take long until everyone was ready to crash! These kids were busy ALL DAY LONG! (On a side note, I love looking at Alex in this picture because something about the way he is holding his hands reminds me of the way he used to sleep when he was a baby and when I look at this picture I can still see my little baby instead of the big, independent little boy he is quickly becoming!)
Everyone slept all the way home, and the boys probably had no idea how they got into their beds and in their pajamas!! (Of course, that didn't stop them from waking up at 6:15 this morning!!!) It was a fun day but I am so glad that today was our day off from the parks - I am tired!!!!!
