How is it already Sunday evening???? Where does the weekend go? It has flown by and it seems like nothing has gotten done! Of course, I know that's not true, but even with only working three days a week, I still think I should have one extra day on the weekend to catch up from the week!
My weekend has been filled with crazy children. The boys have both been fussy and clingy this weekend. They both have runny noses along with the fact that they are both getting in teeth. (I counted FOUR new ones in Alex's mouth yesterday!) It seems like I can't leave the room without Alex crying and Charlie having a meltdown fit, complete with falling to the floor or banging his head against the couch cushions. Oh well, at least I have had plenty of snuggles! Both boys sat on my lap on Friday afternoon and watched the entire Mickey Mouse "Wizard of Diz" movie! Of course, they have still managed to get into a little mischief as well. We had to remove all of the shelves and toy bins from the living room last night because Alex decided that he needed to empty everything into the floor and then proceed to pull down the bins/shelves so that he could climb on top of them . . .sigh . . . Today they were in a much better mood though, so hopefully, everyone will be back to normal on Monday!
Lucy, as smart a child as she is, decided that she would "decorate" her room this morning sometime between 4 and 7 AM. She drew with crayons on the wall and then colored on her dresser with blue marker and purple butterfly stamps. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant surprise to walk in on this morning. The hardest part though was helping her to understand that it was worse to lie about what she had done rather than to take responsibility for it and accept the consequences. She ended up with a few more consequences because of this . . .a hard lesson to learn, but a necessary one!
But even as crazy as my children can make me, I still believe that they are the cutest, sweetest, most adorable children on the planet. And if you don't believe me, here's all the proof you need:
And then just because they are so cute, here's a few more . . . .
Lucy and Charlie were playing "tag" . . . I love how excited he was! :)
I tried to get Charlie to stop and take a picture, but he was having too much fun running around!
Alex has a Lucy smile going on here . . .
