I wish I could offer you some sort of deep thought related to my picture for today, but sadly, Sundays are busy days for our family.. . .especially the ones in Advent. So here is a picture of us, on the go today. We had breakfast this morning at Union UMC followed by our worship service. Then, we drove rather quickly to church at Concord UMC (we were running about 10 minutes late . . oops!). After church there, it was time to run get some lunch, then a nap for the kids. This evening had us back at Union for dinner and their Christmas play, getting home around 8:15. Whew! (Thanks to Mom and Dad for watching the boys!) So yeah, no deep thoughts. . . but I love this picture all the same. ;)
Here are a few pictures from our evening at Union. We had dinner followed by the program and then a visit from Santa! :) Lucy was more than a little wound up when we got home, but crashed almost as soon as her head hit the pillow! Enjoy photos from our evening . . ..
Lucy enjoyed her dinner . . .. Michael enjoyed the many egg salad sandwiches. ;)
Lucy saying her poem - they told her to be loud . . .not a problem!
Several people shared about the many different traditions that are celebrated during Christmas time.
Lucy, waiting patiently for her turn
Angels visiting the shepherds
These next two are from my phone so hey aren't the clearest, but isn't she such a sweet angel??
After the program, Santa came! Lucy wasn't going to miss an opportunity to let him know what she wanted!
Lucy has a new best friend at Union - Jessie! She and Jessie spent a lot of time together during our play practices and Lucy just worships the ground that Jessie walks on. She sat with Jessie all through church today - breakfast, the worship service - she even went up with Jessie when her family read the Scripture and lit the Advent candle! :)
