At Concord UMC, we had a birthday party for Jesus. Last years was a lot of fun, so we were looking forward to this celebration!
We started off with a few games of Bingo.
One round of Bingo was about all the boys were interested in . . .
Of course, by that time, a few more kids showed up so they played a few more rounds. Lucy won four out of the five games!!
Next, it was craft time and we all made an ornament.
Then we sat down to listen to the Christmas story.
Lucy was very serious during this time ;)
After our story and a few carols, we went to decorate cookies.
And then of course, we ate them!!
Alex's little mustache was just so cute!
Then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and it was time to eat cupcakes!
Charlie was much more interested in the chips. He kept going back to the table to get more!
After all our food, we had stickers to decorate our manger scenes. Please pardon Lucy's hair . . . she had been running around and it was just all crazy!
And back for more chips . . .
Our final craft was decorating a cross. I think Lucy would play with foam and stickers all day! :)
Of course, it wouldn't be an event at Concord, if we didn't run up and down the hallway multiple times! I think it's the kids' favorite part of church!
Rod had brought some Santa hats for everyone to wear as we went Christmas caroling after the birthday party. Charlie and Alex loved them and were SO cute in them! Of course, they wouldn't be still long enough to get a good picture of them!
We took the kids out caroling and they did a great job. Lucy had lots of fun singing and the boys were sweet and surprisingly, well behaved! They even gave big hugs and blew kisses to everyone as we left. Afterwards we took them to Chickfila for a quick dinner so we could get home and get ready for a busy day at church tomorrow!!
