Lucy's 5th Birthday Party!

Even though her birthday is not until later this month, we had her party today in hopes that people would still be in town and not gone on summer vacation. If you know Lucy at all, you know that she (like most girls these days!) is OBSESSED with the movie, Frozen. So when it came time to decide what kind of party she wanted, there was no other choice!!

To drink, we served Frozen punch (it was blue!) and "Melted Snow" (water).

To eat, we had fruit kabobs, Olaf noses (carrots), Troll crackers (cheeze-its), Kristoff's Ice Cubes (blue jello squares), Chocolate Dipped snowballs (marshmallows), and cupcakes. :)

Once her friends arrived, we started off with "Pin the Nose on Olaf." Lucy says this was the funniest thing at the party. :)

Next came the pinata! We got one with the strings that you pull rather than the kind that you beat with a stick. Everyone lined up and waited to see who was going to open up the pinata!

Woohoo - Caroline got it to open!

Filling up our treat cups with candy!

Finally, it was time to eat!!!

After eating, Lucy was so excited to open her presents!! She got so many nice things from friends and family!

After presents, everyone sat down to watch the movie Frozen!! Even Levi, who kept asking through the whole party when we were going to go outside, was excited!

Lucy, Abby, and Lucy decided to get the ice castle down and had fun playing together while they watched the movie.

I think Lucy had a good time at her party and I was so thankful that some of her friends were able to come. She has played all afternoon with her new toys, put together puzzles, put all her new clothes away, and has talked non stop about all the different things we did today. I'm so glad she enjoyed it and even though she was a few more weeks of being four, it's so hard to believe that we have an almost five year old in our house! Where does time go?? In the car on the way home from her party, Lucy was trying to decide what kind of party she wants to have next year. Slow down, baby . . . time is moving quickly enough!! We are so blessed to call ourselves her parents and thank God every day we have with her.

  1. Glad to know about this birthday party. Hope it went well. My cousin is planning a success party of his company at one of the top rated Venues in San Francisco next month. He is delighted for such a great achievement and want to celebrate with his employees.
