Adventures with the boys

While Lucy has been at school, we have been trying to stay busy. When we stay at home, the boys tend to start to bicker and fight and this mommy just doesn't have the patience to deal with it anymore! I took the boys to the Children's museum the other day. We got there early and so we got to play by ourselves for about 15 minutes before any other kids came in. It's so nice to come in to the museum when everything has been put away and is neatly laid out and ready to play . . .of course, I can't say we left it that way! ;)

Charlie, making doughnuts!

Charlie, driving the Krispy Kreme truck - isn't he cute in his hat and apron??

Delivering the doughnuts!

Alex was playing too . . . he just didn't want his picture taken!

After we played in the Krispy Kreme, we headed into the grocery store. The boys had the best time taking turns ringing each other up!

Alex even did a little cooking demonstration!

This is Charlie's favorite letter in the alphabet room! :)

Outside, they have this climbing net which the boys loved. They probably would have climbed all the way to the top if I would have let them, but they still had a good time just hanging out!

I have so many pictures of Charlie from that day, but that's because Alex wouldn't stay still!! While Charlie was building, Alex was climbing around on the indoor play structure. Last time we were there, he wouldn't do anything but the little monkey wouldn't be still this time. Of course, Charlie sat still like this for about 10 minutes, building his "house!"

Another fun outing was our trip to High Point. We played Putt Putt, ordered cupcakes for Lucy's birthday, went to City Lake Park, and then went to the High Point Museum. There isn't much to do at the museum but they do have the front of a Thomas Bus. These boys just LOVE school buses so we spent about 30 minutes, just taking turns, "driving" around!

They would pretend to stop and pick each other up and when one would get on board, they other would shout, "On the board!" And then when they got off, they said, "Off the board!" So much cuter than "All Aboard!!"

I think these boys would have stayed all day and played just on the bus, but we left to go have lunch with Grammy. I did have to promise though that I would bring them back soon!!!
