The boys' first snow

When we woke up at 5 this morning to feed the boys, there appeared to just be a dusting over the ground. At 6, the phone rang to tell us that Lucy's school was closed. By the time Lucy woke up, snow was falling at a steady pace and we now have a couple of inches on the ground. I wanted to make sure we got the boys' pictures with their first snow, so everyone got bundled up and we went out on the porch quickly. :)

The boys are looking at Lucy in this picture :)

Such a cutie pie!

 Ready to play!

Once we got out into the snow, Lucy goes, "I don't want to play - this is wet and cold." If there was any doubt, this proves that she is my child! That's exactly how I feel about the snow - it's best enjoyed indoors! ;)

We went out anyway, and walked around in the blowing snow . . .eventually, she seemed to enjoy herself.

I couldn't convince her to try and make a snow angel. . . even after I demonstrated! It isn't a good packing snow, so we weren't really able to make snowballs and I didn't want to stay out long enough to make a snowman. Lucy decided that the front of the car looked like it was smiling, so we added "eyes" to it.

We walked all the way around the yard. . .she wanted to walk down to church, but when we got out to the road, it was a little too slick to walk down the hill.

We came back inside and got warm with some hot chocolate and then Daddy made snow cream! :) It was a pretty yummy morning!

Notice the chocolate mustache!

The boys have had some fun play time as well. . .

Now Charlie and Alex are settled down for a nap, Lucy is watching a little TV and we're going to have a nice relaxing day at home. The weather for the weekend says it'll be in the 60s so after this beautiful snow, we're ready for spring to arrive!!
