Hollywood Studios

Wednesday was our Hollywood Studios Day. As you can tell, we were excited, but some of us were still a little sleepy after all these busy days!! ;)

Harper wanted a picture after we snapped one of the Flack kids, so we got one of the girls in their matching shirts.

Riding the tram from the parking lot to the front gate!

We took some pictures at the front of the gate, but for some reason those are not showing up in my photo pass photos. I put in a lost photos request with Disney and told them exactly what photos I was looking for. . . . surely it shouldn't be too hard to track down a couple photos of a group of 11 people in front of Mickey Mouse in front of Hollywood Studios between 8:30-8:45 on a Wednesday! I guess we'll see!!!

We entered the park at about 8:45 and walked over to go and get in line to sign the kids up to participate in Jedi training. We arrived to find an already long line, but that's what we expected. The line was right next to the Indiana Jones Stunt show and so Michael liked seeing some of the memorabilia out there as we were waiting in line.

Some storm troopers came up as we were waiting in line . . . Alex wanted to go over and show them his shirt!

We got the kids signed up for their time and then headed over to use our first fast pass of the day at Toy Story Mania. I had heard this was a fun ride, but it was better than I expected. The boys just LOVED it!!!

We rode one time with our fast pass and then had to jump back in line and ride it again!!

After riding again, this time we headed over to have our picture taken with Woody and Buzz. The room where we were waiting in line was filled with lots of fun photo ops and the kids really enjoyed seeing all these things from the movies.

Our next stop was the Little Mermaid show. It was fine. . . . I guess the kids enjoyed it. I wasn't that impressed to be honest. But we went and saw it! After that, we headed over towards the Disney Jr. section. Teresa and I were going to take the kids to watch the Disney Jr. stage show while the big kids went to go and ride Star Tours. We had just a little bit of time before the show, so we stopped to meet some characters.

The kids had the best time with Pluto - they even had a little spontaneous dance party!

No one in our group seemed to want to go meet Jake and the line to meet Doc was just way too long, so we went on in to the show. The show was a cute one, complete with things falling from the sky to excite the kids. What child doesn't love falling snow, bubbles, and streamers?? Charlie really was enthralled with it!!

After the show, we had to hurry to try and get a little bit of food before it was time for the kids to line up to participate in Jedi training. I wish I had asked for a later time because we were so rushed and the kids didn't really have a chance to eat lunch and rest so they were a little tired.

Alex was a little frustrated with his robe. . . he kept saying it was too big. It was the smallest one they had though. These are some of the pictures I took with my camera during the training.

And here are some that they photo pass photographers got during the show (sorry for the jedi overload!!). . .

Alex spent most of his training practicing his yawns!!!

We finished the Jedi training and then decided to head over towards Sunset Boulevard. We had gotten a fast pass for the kids and grandparents to see the Beauty and the Beast stage show while we went to go and ride Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollercoaster.  But first, we stopped off to meet Olaf!

Lucy decided on her own that she wanted to ride Tower of Terror with us so we were excited she was going to be brave enough to try it. She got a little nervous going up there, but she followed through and got on! The people around us were so sweet and really encouraging to her which I think helped her relax a little.

Lucy told us she didn't like it, but she talked about nothing else for the rest of the afternoon! :) We didn't make her ride the Rockin' Roller coaster next though. (That was definitely for the best since it was much rougher than I remember!)

We wanted to make sure to get some photos of Lucy in front of Tower of Terror since she had been so brave!!

A photographer came by and snapped a few photos of the other kids as they were waiting. You can see that they are DONE for the day!

Michael and I took the kids to Chickfila for an early dinner since we didn't have a big lunch that day. (Lucy called our meal "Dunch!") Then it was back home to rest a little and get ready for another fun day on Thursday!!
