We had snow today!! Up until 1:30 or so, we had snow and rain mix. But around 2:00 or so, it started to really come down and it hasn't let up! The ground is warm, so I don't think they were expecting it to really stick, but I went ahead and left school around 2:45 since my classes were done and I had packed everything up. It wasn't a pleasant drive home!! When we got home, the kids were ready to go out and play. They went out for a little while and even though there wasn't a great deal on the ground, that didn't stop them from throwing snowballs, making snow angels and just running around like crazy.
The kids were supposed to do their Annie play again tonight, but just as we had gotten in the car to go and get some dinner and go to the show, we got the notice that they had decided to cancel. So since we were already in the car, we ran and got subs for everyone before the sun went down and then came back to the house. Now we're having a picnic dinner in the living room floor and watching Home Alone. It is a nice, unexpected restful evening!!! :)
