Day 3!

Lucy and I went Black Friday shopping - she wanted to have the experience of getting up early to go to a sale. So we got out at 6:00 AM and went to a few stores. One of the stores we went to was Carters. I had gotten the kids some Christmas PJs, but not Santa pjs like I had done in years past. Well, Lucy was not having it - apparently, in order for it to be Christmas we have to have those pajamas!! So of course, since everything was on sale, we picked up some for everyone. After we found some pajamas and a few shirts for Lucy and the boys, we got in line. It was a longer than normal line, maybe 6 people in front of us, but to Lucy this was just ridiculous! She did not like having to wait in line and after that shopping experience she was ready to be done! I guess she will enjoy online shopping the way that I do! ;) So after our purchase, we got breakfast for everyone and headed home.

That evening, everyone wanted to wear their Santa jammies so of course, it was picture time!

Oh my goodness, can they be any cuter!??

Day 2!

So, for today, instead of Christmas photos, I thought I'd catch up on everything that happened in November! It's not that we didn't do things, but we just stayed busy and I didn't get on the computer to blog! So here's last month in a nutshell. . . .

Enjoying the fall weather

We had a packing party at church and packed 28 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!

Fire safety week in pre-k!

It was finally cold enough to wear sweaters!!

The boys went on their first field trip! They went to the pumpkin patch. (This picture is Charlie's class . . . .his teacher sent it to me. . . I don't have one from Alex.)

Silly boys at dinner one night

Lucy got her first report card for the year and of course - All A's! We let her choose dinner one night to celebrate and she decided that she wanted sushi!

"Fry"day shirts!!!

Charlie's class had a Thanksgiving lunch, which meant that I spent the whole night before creating a dairy-free Thanksgiving dinner for one! I think he ate a bite of everything, but ate all his deli turkey slice and all of his pumpkin pie filling. (Not the crust though!)

This was the only picture I took on Thanksgiving Day. . . . go figure. . . but these were just as delicious as they look!!

The next day we had dinner at Great-Daddy's house - here is GreatDaddy with all his great-grandchildren.

We were cleaning up before Gramma and Pappy came to our house to eat. . . the boys were so excited to help vaccum!!

We did manage to get a picture of all the Flacks while they were at our house for Thanksgiving.

Poor old Alex - I don't have many pictures of him from school, but I did get this one the other day. Upper school students came around and read to the preschool classes and this picture ended up on the Facebook page.

So that's November!!! Back to December tomorrow!!

Day 1!

It's that time of year again!! Here's to 24 days of Christmas photos!!

We'll start with our trip to see Santa! We went to the mall the day before Thanksgiving, as is our tradition. The kids really enjoyed the way the line was set up this year - there were little games to play as you waited, so that it didn't seem to take as long. I always enjoy that the mall has the same Santa every year! :)

Happy Halloween!

On Monday, the boys took a field trip with their preschool classes to the pumpkin patch. They got to go on a hay ride and pick out their own pumpkins. I think the boys worked to find the biggest pumpkins they could!

For Halloween, we went and visited a few people from church and then we came to High Point to have dinner with Gramma, Pappy, Harper, and Rosa. After that, we headed over to Grammy and Poppa's church for their Trick or Trunk - we need more candy, right??

We had lots of fun and got so much candy!! In fact, Santa probably won't even need candy for stockings because he can probably just pull from the Halloween stash!!

Trick or Trunk

On Saturday, we had Trick or Trunk at Concord. It was a fun event and while we wish a few more people had attended, we had great participation from church members and good fellowship.

Cat and the Hat with his Thing One and Thing 2

Ladder Ball was the boys favorite part of Trick or Trunk!

Our two trunks

The kids loved the crazy glasses they got

They got A LOT of candy!!

After the candy, you could get a hot dog, drink and cupcake.

After collecting all the candy they could, the kids then wanted to help pass out candy to others.
