December 12th and 13th

I missed posting yesterday - we were gone to the mountains to see the MRUMC cantata and I just didn't have any pictures! We picked the kids up from Grammy and Poppa's today. The boys fell asleep on the way home, but that must have been a quick enough nap to give them one more spurt of energy before getting to bed. ;)

They don't look tired at all, do they?

Brother hugs!

Alex was very concerned that his train was not together!

Charlie was excited that Rudolph was on TV!

December 11th

The boys have been good about not pulling things off the tree. They do like to look at the different ornaments and I made sure to only put kid friendly ornaments within their reach. :)

Alex apparently wasn't in the mood for a picture with his sister . . .

THis picture just cracks me up for some reason. Charlie is playing with one of those birthday blowers, but it looks like a pipe to me. It just makes me think about these two as little old men sitting in their rockers, shooting the breeze. ;)

Hey, come look at this ornament!!

Lucy, standing with her tree in her room.

Here's a quick "throwback" to when Lucy first got her tree. .. .she has grown quite a bit, wouldn't you say??

Charlie loves Lucy's tree too!

December 10th

Today I checked off the preschool program at school! Two programs down this week and two more for next week and then it will be Christmas vacation!! :)

When I got home from the preschool thing, I took the boys up to Barnes and Noble to play with the Thomas the Train track set. They played for 30 minutes straight and probably would have kept playing longer but we had to go get some lunch. I think that they will be very excited when they see what Santa is bringing them!!

After Lucy got finished with school, we watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. We had taped it from the other night and the boys were just mesmerized! Every time it went to commercial, they would fuss until I could fast forward to the next part. They sat so still through the show and then Charlie started crying when it was done and wasn't happy again until I restarted it!!

We went to go play in Lucy's room for a while and of course, Lucy turned Frozen on. Alex was so excited and sang along with her.

And then of course, we then had to turn on the Karaoke machine!

A fun (and loud!) afternoon was had by all!! :)

December 9th

I don't have much for today - what a busy day! But here is a collage a parent sent me of my chorus singing today at Baptist Health Center. I'll do better tomorrow! ;)

December 8th

Today was a busy day .  . . but here are some photos from our attempt at Christmas photos. I guess getting two out of three children to smile is somewhat of an accomplishment!

Our first attempt was the best we got. .. although you can tell that it was raining because my hair had completely fallen just from the time it took to walk from the car to the studio.

You can tell that Charlie is trying to escape at this point!

Don't they look thrilled??

Charlie before his major meltdown

Charlie after his major meltdown  . . . he was not having any of it!

December 7th

It was a long, church filled day today. We had our two church services, with Advent Breakfast before church at Union. Our family did the Advent reading today at both churches. This evening, we had LoveFeast at Concord so Michael and I were busy with that. All of this was on top of a night of little sleep. Apparently, Charlie has decided to boycott sleep.. . . thanks, Charlie. Thanks a lot.

So, yeah, it was a long day! But Lucy and I got two pictures this morning to share with you. Lucy was so excited that we were both wearing sweater dresses today. I have to admit, I was a little jealous of hers! It's cute!!

December 6th

Today was a lazy Saturday. Lucy got ready this morning and went to see Frozen on Ice with Gramma, Pappy, and Harper.

Lucy wanted to wear her Frozen bracelet, her dolphin necklace, and her earrings from Greatmommy. She was decked out and ready to go!

The boys spent the day going back and forth between playing well together and trying to beat each other up. It was a long day . . .but I guess that's just life with two boys! Here's one of the times where they were playing well together. They have this new game where the take the Abominable Snowman stuffed animal (From the Rudolph movie) and chase each other back and forth with it. They even roar like a monster. Of course, sometimes, it turns into just running around . . .

Then we had to wait by the door, looking for Lucy to come home!!
