Beginnings of summer!

While Lucy still has one more day of school, the boys and I have been enjoying summer for a couple of weeks! Here's a little of what we've been up to -

On Memorial Day, David and Bri drove up so we all went over to Grammy's for lunch. The boys love to drive their cars around. The pictures don't do justice to how fast they go when they race!

A little T-ball!

Lucy has lost both of her front teeth now. :) She loves her big gap in her mouth!

Playing around the house - I guess Alex couldn't decide whether a blaster or light saber works better so he played with both!

We got out our bathing suits the other day and filled up the water table and our little pool. The kids were so excited!

We played in the pool for a long time and then Alex decided to get out. He doesn't like bugs, so every time he saw one, he would pour water on it.

So everyone decided to join in the game!

Sometimes these boys can just be so sweet! They fight all the time, but then they do things like this that just melt your heart!

Jessie, the kids' favorite person at church, graduated this past week! They were excited to celebrate her!

Last day of 2EE Preschool!

At the end of May, the boys had their last day of preschool for the school year. They have had such a wonderful year and grown so much. While we are excited for summer, I'm sad to see this year come to an end!

Charlie

Mrs. Perry - perhaps the greatest two-year-old teacher in the world!! We love her so much and I will miss having her teach my boys!!

We love Mrs. Redding too!!

Can you believe how much they have changed since the first day of school??

Mother's Day (Only about a month late!)

For Mother's Day, the kids "made" me breakfast (meaning, Daddy!) and then came to get me because they just couldn't wait any longer for me to open my presents. They had made me sweet cards and Lucy's had bought me a pen and journal at the "Mother's Day Market" they had at school. The boys had made me these cute little flower pots at school as well.

For Mother's day, I had asked for a new feather bed topper for our bed. (Our old one had definitely seen better days!) It came from Amazon in a big box, which my children were so excited to claim as their own!

Mother's Day, of course, falls on a Sunday, so we didn't have long until it was time to get ready for church. Every year, I make my kiddos take a picture with me! As you can see, Charlie didn't much feel like it!

This was the best we could get from Charlie!

After church, we went to Grammy's house to celebrate with her and have a nice lunch.

Lucy wrote about me for Mother's Day ..  . when she described me, she said that "my mother likes to win the Fitbit contest." Hmm. . . I guess I've been a little competitive with that lately!! ;)

Overall, it was a sweet day with my babies. I am beyond blessed to be able to call myself their mom. I am so undeserving, but so thankful that God placed these three in my care and pray each day that I can help guide them into discovering what God has planned for their lives.

Uncle Lattie's Graduation

Where has time gone? I really haven't posted anything since Easter?? Oops! Back in May, Uncle Lattie graduated from UNC with his Masters of Social Work!!! We are so proud of him and all his hard work! It wasn't easy, but I'm sure he'll tell you it was worth it. :)

Lucy was excited to get to watch Uncle Lattie graduate!

Not ready for this!!!!

Walking the stage

Uncle Day Day came up for Lattie's big day!

This girl loves her Uncle!!

Happy Easter!

On Easter Sunday, we dressed up in our best for church. The kids were so excited to wear their new Easter outfits.

After church, we had a big breakfast and then an egg hunt! It was a rainy day, but fortunately, the rain held off long enough for us to go out and collect some eggs.

Alex's little faces always crack me up!

When we got home, we snapped a couple more pictures since we were all dressed up!
