December 17th

Today was a day full of errands! The boys and I got moving this morning and went out to get gifts for all our nursery workers at church. We went to Walgreens to pick up pictures as well as stocking stuffers . . . and then we had to head to Target (which I swore I wouldn't do!) because they didn't have any good stocking stuffers at Walgreens.  Then the boys and I went to have lunch at Chickfila and pick up some gift cards for Lucy's specialist teachers at school. The boys thought it was such a big deal to be able to go in and eat like big boys!

After lunch, we came home for a nap for the boys. I got some thank you notes written and then it was time to go pick up Lucy. The kids and I then went to the grocery store so I could get a few supplies for our chorus party tomorrow. We dropped those off at school and then headed home. Gramma and Pappy came over to play and have dinner so the kids went outside with them for a while and I got some things cleaned up around here. After dinner, we decorated Gingerbread houses. We had bought a kit at Target the other day for a Gingerbread Village and Lucy had been begging to do it. I knew she would be excited, but I had no idea how much they would enjoy it!

Charlie was so excited to decorate his cookie!

We had to remind them quite a bit not to eat the candy. . .

The boys sat so still and stayed so focused on making their houses. I think they really enjoyed themselves.

And one more for tonight . . . Before bed, Alex decided to be Doc for a while. :)
