December 22nd

Today was a fun day. We started out this morning being lazy and watching TV. After a late breakfast, we made some Christmas cookies. Lucy is always excited about making cookies, but I had no idea how much the boys would enjoy it!

We had a hard time understanding that we couldn't all stand on the stool at the same time.

Everyone took turns picking out a shape and pushing it into the cookie dough.

Like I said, waiting for our turn was difficult! :)

We ate lunch while the cookies cooked and then cooled. Then it was time to decorate! :)

And what fun is making cookies without eating them?? :)

I just love how much fun they had! :) It was so much work, but maybe we ought to try stuff like this more often . . . 

We took a nap after cookie decorating and then once we woke up, we packaged up our cookies and took them to some of our church members who have recently had surgery and are stuck at home. Lucy brought some of her Christmas books to read and the boys of course brought trains and cars to share. We went and visited and then grabbed a bite to eat and came home and got ready for bed.
