December 16th

We decorated gingerbread houses today. I bought a kit last year on a whim and the kids enjoyed it so much that they asked to do it again this year. Well, we had to do it today or we were going to run out of time to do it before Christmas - our days are getting pretty full!!

Lucy started decorating hers first while we waited for the boys to wake up from their nap.

The boys quickly woke up and were excited to come and join the fun.

Michael helped build our houses . . . we had trouble getting them to stay together!

Alex and his finished product

I think Charlie got more candy on the table than on his house!

Lucy's all done!

I think they look pretty cute. :)

After we finished the houses, the kids were begging to go outside. We didn't have a lot of time since Lucy had dance tonight. We decided to go for a quick walk with the wagon which the kids loved!

Then we came back so everyone could ride their toys for a little while. Their favorite activity right now is going to the top of the driveway, picking up their feet, and letting gravity take them down the hill.

**** A couple of funny stories about the boys to add . . . .
   - We ate at Olive Garden the other day. (We had to stop to get a gift certificate for the boys' teacher and it was lunch time . . . so why not??) The boys said they wanted "noonals" for lunch and then Charlie said, "I want a cotton ball." After a while, we figured out he was asking for a meatball!

  - Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Redding gave the boys a Christmas gift and both of them put their Christmas card in the bag with a picture of their family. The boys have carried these cards all over the house all day long and sleep with them at night. It's so sweet.

  - We are still working on potty training around here. Sometimes they are great and other times, they could care less. The other day, Charlie sat down on the potty and then stood up and ran up and down the hall, yelling, "I made the poop! I made the poop!" He was so pleased with himself. :)
