December 9th

What a day it has been! It started out fine - all the kids went to school, I went in to have preschool rehearsal and then came home to do a little cleaning. I found Pig as I was picking up . . .I guess he decided he wanted to be fancy today!

Charlie had been coughing this morning when he went to school but he wasn't running a fever and seemed to feel fine otherwise. They did tell us when we picked him up from school that he had been coughing quite a bit. He came home and took a nap and when I got him up from his nap, he was still coughing and seemed like he was having a difficult time breathing. After Lucy's wheezing at the doctor earlier this week, I figured I better take him in.

Alex came with us. He had fun entertaining us with BoBo.

More of Alex's "entertainment" :)

The doctor listened to him and said that his breathing was extremely noisy so she tested him for RSV and then gave him an albuterol treatment.

His RSV test came back negative and the albuterol made his breathing sound better. He coughed a lot less; we went and picked up his prescription and then came home for dinner. While Daddy cooked dinner, we played with the instruments that Mommy's friend, Julie, had mailed to her.

As we reached the end of dinner, you could start to hear that Charlie was wheezing again. He didn't feel like doing much so the kids all piled in Daddy's lap to watch Charlie Brown Christmas before bed.

Hopefully, tomorrow won't be quite so eventful. Charlie has quit coughing now so I'm hoping that he will sleep all night. He's supposed to continue his treatments with the nebulizer every 4 hours for the next two days; hopefully that will return him back to his normal self!
