Day 6

Our Advent word for today is :Awake. This seemed fitting especially for today since I had been awakened many times in the evening. Both boys needed to be settled several times between the hours of 11 and 12 last night. Then about midnight, Lucy got up, crying and walking down the hall. She couldn't put a sentence together do you knew she wasn't really awake. We got her settled and back to bed until about 3 when she came in our room doing the same thing. Michael put her in our bed, but that didn't last long. (If you've ever tried to sleep next to Lucy, you would know that it is nearly impossible!!) And then at 5, Alex and Charlie decided that it was time for the day to begin . . .and so it did!

This is them while I was fixing them a cup of milk in the kitchen . . .they are not always the most patient when it comes to waiting for food or drink! :)

And now on to Christmas photos. A tradition that we started last year is having 24 books wrapped up and under the tree. We pick a new book each night, unwrap it and read it together. Most of these are books that we have from year's past;  I think I only picked up two new books this year. However, I know they are new to the boys and Lucy doesn't seem to remember most of them, so they are like new to her too. :) It's a lot of fun and we look forward to snuggling up together as a family every evening.
